Description:
This camp is for all members enrolled in the band program. We will be learning our competitive marching show for the season. You will be placed in your field drill spot and receive high quality music and marching instruction by experienced staff. We ask that all band students clear their calendar to attend this critical week. Thank you for your timely response as band camp is the foundation for a successful season. Registration for this camp is for students enrolled in band classes only. Students enrolled in a band for next year will be emailed a letter with all information needed for camp.
Be sure to select the correct payment for COMPETITION or NON-COMPETITION Band member. Fee adjustments cannot be made for those who register for the competition rate in error. Competition band members will receive some additional instruction in June, July and the the fall.
Bring to Class:
Instrument, music, hat, sunscreen, water and a refillable water bottle, gym shoes. Participants should apply sunscreen BEFORE camp each day as we spend most of the day outside.
No matter what the weather all summer, it seems it is always 99 and sunny during band camp so PLEASE be sure to apply sunscreen at home, bring sunscreen, wear a hat, sunglasses and clothing that is loose fitting and covers your shoulders. We spend a majority of the day outside and on the turf which does reflect the sun so PLEASE BE PREPARED. We take breaks at regular intervals and students are allowed water breaks at any time but we ask that you come prepared wearing sunscreen and are well hydrated. Water is the best option, not soda! Be prepared for rain as well and a change of clothes is never a bad idea!
